What is an RPG?

An RPG or Role Playing Game, such as D&D or Pathfinder, is a table top game where players create and assume the roll of a character. They then choose this character's actions within the narrative of the story given by the Dungeon Master. Actions made by the players are usually decided by the roll of a die or dice, which then determines whether this action succeeds or fails. You can use these actions to help solve mysteries, fight off dragons, or just see if you can climb a tree. It's all up to your imagination and your DM's will.

There are all kinds of RPGs out there to fit anyone's interests. D&D and Pathfinder are among the most popular, however there are many others including Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk Red, Vampire: The Masquerade, and Quest.

You can come play here in store with us! Firefly Toys & Games offers space and campaigns to play! We also offer a good place to learn if you are new to RPGs.

Every Wednesday evening starting at 7:00pm we host Adventurers League and Pathfinder Society. Perfect for new players to jump in and join, we will teach you how to play. If you are a veteran player, you can set up your own campaign or join in with one of ours!
